The Master’s programme offers advanced training in Particle Physics and Cosmology, preparing students for both research and professional careers.
Students choose one of two specialisations — Physics of the Cosmos or Particle Physics — and follow a common core of courses, advanced research modules, and a final Master’s thesis.
The diagram below shows the structure of the programme.

The subject teaching guides of each subject are in different places, depending on whether the subject is coordinated by the UC or the UIMP:

  • UC: on the UC web page of the Master, follow the link to “Plan de estudios, estructura, asignaturas y guías docentes 20xx-20xx” and from there “ASIGNATURAS OFERTADAS Y GUÍAS DOCENTES”-“Listado de asignaturas y guías docentes”. Any subject with blue background in that table is coordinated by the UC, and the different versions of the subject guide should be there (full in Spanish, abridged in Spanish and abridged in English).
  • UIMP: on the English version of the UIMP web page of the Master (please note that the previous link is year-dependent, make sure that the part of the link that says “any=20xx-xx” correspond to the course you are interested in, e.g. any=2025-26 for the 2025-2026 course), click on the tag “SYLLABUS”, then on the name of the subject, then choose the tag “PRINTABLE SYLLABUS”, and finally click on the PDF icon to get a very basic guide in English. A more complete version in Spanish can be obtained by replacing “lan=3” in the PDF link before by “lan=1”, or following a similar path from the Spanish version of the UIMP web page of the Master (see note above
